Alex Burgdorfer (Owner & Guide)
I grew up in Eugene, OR, where my love for fly fishing and exploring rivers began in childhood along the banks of the McKenzie River. My admiration for the outdoors and passion for leading trips as a guide have strengthened over time, taking me throughout the Pacific Northwest as a sea kayaking instructor in the San Juan Islands, to Utah as a Professional Ski Patroller, and internationally throughout Central and South America as an 'Overseas Educator.'
I am excited to share my in-depth knowledge of local home waters, enthusiasm for fly fishing, and the experience of guiding on the McKenzie River while catering to your specific goals.
As an Oregon Marine Board guide, in addition to being Swift Water Rescue Safety certified and a trained Wilderness First Responder, I ensure professional and safe riverside experiences.
